PARKERSBURG, WV The Greater Parkersburg Convention & Visitors Bureau announced its 2008 board of directors and officers during its 2008 annual meeting Monday evening at the Parkersburg Art Center.
CVB President Steve Nicely said, As a nonprofit corporation, the board of directors has a very important role in determining the success of the bureau by setting policy, approving the budget and telling others of the importance of tourism and the CVB. Im thrilled that these individuals have agreed to serve on the board and to provide leadership to the organization in 2008.

Except for those who are appointed by one of the cities or the county that imposes the hotel occupancy tax in Wood County, the board of directors is elected annually by the members of the bureau. Board members serve in a volunteer capacity.
