North Bend State Park

This 2,400-acre park includes a lodge, deluxe cabins, campground, and full service restaurant.  Plus a 305-acre lake with fishing and boating.  North Bend Rail Trail located nearby with hiking, biking, and horse drawn carriage rides.  Other recreation includes nature center miniature golf, outdoor pool (seasonal), tennis, picnicking and special events.

Fort Boreman Historical Park
Off US 50, Marrtown Rd exit, Parkersburg, WV
Located two miles from downtown Parkersburg, the park features a partially reconstructed Union Civil War fortification, trenches, interpretive signage, picnic shelters and spectacular views of Parkersburg and the Ohio and Little Kanawha Rivers.

Point Park
Foot of 2nd St at the confluence of the Little Kanawha and Ohio Rivers, Parkersburg, WV
Debarkation point for excursions to Blennerhassett Island.  Site of Parkersburg’s early settlement. George Washington stopped here on his trip down the Ohio in 1770.

Quincy Park

Overlook offers a scenic panorama of downtown Parkersburg, WV, the Ohio River and Blennerhassett Island. Picnic facilities, grills and playground.

Southwood Park

Featured attraction at this recreation facility is a 435-foot water slide.  Other activities include swimming pool, playground, tennis courts and picnic areas.

Tomlinson Park

Great playground for children.  Adjacent to tennis courts, outdoor basketball court.  Picnic tables and shade trees.  Women’s Clubhouse in park available for rental.
